In this session, Karen guides you through a deep exploration of the hips, focusing on the physical and symbolic "leap" toward the splits (Hanumanasana). By blending precise alignment with the power of breath, this class helps you navigate physical limitations with grace and mindfulness. You will learn how to engage specific muscle groups for support and use props effectively to meet your body exactly where it is today.
The physical practice is woven together with the mythological story of Hanuman, the monkey god who leaped across the ocean. His story serves as a backdrop for a meditation on courage, devotion, and the freedom of self-expression.
